Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Contracts Manager – Water in Poole to lead multiple schemes from inception to handover across the Dorset region. The role requires strong commercial discipline, leadership of site teams and delivery of water, flood defence and wastewater upgrades.

You will drive delivery, manage stakeholders and ensure safety and quality across projects, with NEC contract familiarity and a civil engineering background as essential credentials.

Qualifications

• CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS required.
• HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understand civil engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region.

Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to work for a leading contractor within the Water, Energy and Environmental sectors within the UK. You will be delivering schemes located around Bournemouth, Poole and South Dorset area.

Our client has been named a capital delivery partner on two multi-million-pound ‘lots’ that will see the company deliver projects across the region through to 2030 – with the potential for a five-year extension into AMP9 thereafter.

You’ll take full ownership of multiple schemes from inception through to successful completion and handover, covering a diverse range of projects including flood defence, water and wastewater treatment upgrades, environmental improvements and nature-based solutions.

We’re looking for a confident and commercially astute leader who can drive project delivery, motivate teams and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects safely, efficiently and successfully.

The role of a Contracts Manager includes:

• Instilling the company culture and driving consistency across a number of schemes for the organisation
• Leading a team of site managers to ensure successful execution of the programme
• Improving awareness, compliance and performance with company standards & processes
• Facilitating the growth and development of the team
• Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery whilst ensuring client satisfaction
