Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + O.T.E Location: Mobile around London
We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to handle planned and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to technical standards. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will manage day‑to‑day tasks, respond to call‑outs, and keep site documentation accurate and up to date. This role suits a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical fault‑finding skills and the ability to work independently. You’ll also support small projects and ensure seamless service delivery as a key on‑site Maintenance Engineer.

Principle Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective running of the assigned jobs
- Sufficient labour and time are allocated
- Resourcing sufficient equipment and materials in conjunction with The Operations Manager and the purchasing administrator.
- Systematic and logical sequence of works
- Dealing with on site technical issues as they arise and assisting engineers
- Find on site remedial works from PPM and site visits
- Ensure log books on site are kept up to date
- Adhere to F-GAS regulations
- Ensure RAMS, quotations and reports are issued on time
- Carry out tool box talks with the engineers
- Carry out site audits including cosmetic maintenance audits
- To ensure that all plant on site systems are well documented, and recorded efficiently, for asset registers & 60 day reports.
- Liaise with Help Desk Coordinators on PPM works to ensure they are completed on time
- Creation of 52 week planner and logbooks
- Formatting, ensuring task-sheets are up to date
- Meeting minutes and meeting reports are updated
- Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety regulations/risk assessments
- Liaise with customers and tenants to ensure expectations are managed and met.
- Liaise with building manager and tenants to ensure expectations are managed and met
- Ensure all PPM is completed on time & ensure frequencies are adhered to, minimise time on call-outs/ minimise return visits to job.
- Keep our help desk constantly informed of call-out progress through to completion.
- Generate on site summary reports for line managers and directors.
Key Results Area:
- Sales - Pick up remedials from existing contracts and be an ambassador for Polyteck and ensure static sites are run to a high standard
- Wastage - Minimise time on callouts / Minimise return visits – first time fix Minimise cost of damage and wastage of materials
- Customer Satisfaction - To be measured by repeat business, achieving high standard of Workmanship
- Programmes - On time and on budget
- Profit - 30% Gross Profit Margin

Key Skills Required for Success in the Role:
- Organisation
- System knowledge & experience including F-Gas
- City & Guild in A/C and HVAC
- Higher diploma in mechanical engineering
- Computer Literacy – basic office
