Job summary

Exchange Street Executive Search is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Subsidence) to work from home and cover the North London area. You will primarily handle subsidence-affected properties, plan repairs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include pre-contract meetings, contractor vetting and audits, cost control, and incident reporting. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Prior subsidence / Loss Adjusting experience.
• Experience with construction / repair methods.
• Working knowledge of relevant legal, H&S and regulatory matters.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service, organization, time management & negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain scheduling of repairs in line with philosophies and repair strategy.
• Plan and conduct pre-contract meetings.
• Ensure H&S and CDM obligations are met by all parties including site audits.
• Validate variations per procedures to an acceptable standard.
• Manage and report on claims during repair phase to Company standard.
• Record reportable incidents following Company guidelines.
• Identify and vet new contractors to support operational continuity.
• Conduct contractor audits to required standard.
• Update information on our database in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor effective cost management during repair phase using Symbility.
• Provide support for engineering, upskilling to engineering role when required.
• Carry out other duties as requested by manager.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Subsidence) to work from home and cover the North London area. You will mainly deal with properties affected by subsidence.

The Role

• Maintain scheduling of repairs in line with our philosophies and repair strategy
• Plan and conduct pre-contract meetings
• Ensure H&S and CDM obligations are met by all parties including carrying out H&S site audits
• Perform validation of variations in accordance with our procedures to an acceptable standard
• Manage and report on claims during the repair phase to the required Company standard
• Record reportable incidents following Company guidelines
• Identification and vetting of new contractors to support operational continuity
• Conduct contractor audits, (suitability, competence etc) to the required Company standard
• Update all relevant information on our database in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor effective cost management throughout repair phase, utilising Symbility tool
• Provide support for engineering, upskilling to the engineering role when required
• Any other reasonable duties requested by your manager
