Job summary

Phoenix Software is seeking a Contracts Manager to join the Legal & Contracts team at its HQ in Pocklington. The role focuses on reviewing, negotiating and managing contracts across customers, suppliers and partners, balancing risk with business growth.

You will work with sales, bid, procurement and finance teams, driving standard terms adoption and ensuring framework compliance. Hybrid working is supported, with a BPSS check as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of UK contract law.
• Knowledge of public sector frameworks and contracting environments.
• Understanding of supplier, reseller and subcontractor relationships.
• Awareness of the Procurement Act 2023.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and manage contracts across customers, suppliers, subcontractors and partners.
• Support sales and bid teams with the review and negotiation of customer terms and conditions.
• Promote the use of Phoenix standard terms and conditions wherever appropriate.
• Review public sector framework agreements and support teams in ensuring compliance with framework requirements.
• Negotiate customer contract amendments and non-standard contractual terms.
• Support supplier-facing teams with subcontract and reseller agreement negotiations.
• Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality agreements.
• Act as a key point of contact for contractual and legal queries across the business.
• Provide practical and commercially focused guidance on contract-related matters.
• Support the annual review and maintenance of Phoenix standard contractual documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, legal advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance with company information security policies and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and controls.
