Job summary

Phoenix Software Limited, based in the UK with HQ in Pocklington, is hiring a Contracts Manager to join its Legal & Contracts team. You will provide commercially focused contract advice and support across the business, helping manage risk while enabling growth across customer, supplier and partner relationships.

You will work closely with sales, bid, procurement, finance and operations, reviewing, negotiating and managing contracts across public sector frameworks.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of UK contract law.
• Knowledge of public sector frameworks and contracting environments.
• Strong negotiation and risk management skills.
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and manage contracts across customers, suppliers, subcontractors and partners.
• Support sales and bid teams with the review and negotiation of customer terms and conditions.
• Promote the use of Phoenix standard terms and conditions wherever appropriate.
• Review public sector framework agreements and support teams in ensuring compliance with framework requirements.
• Negotiate customer contract amendments and non-standard contractual terms.
• Support supplier-facing teams with subcontract and reseller agreement negotiations.
• Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality agreements.
• Act as a key point of contact for contractual and legal queries across the business.
• Provide practical and commercially focused guidance on contract-related matters.
• Support the annual review and maintenance of Phoenix standard contractual documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, legal advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance with company information security policies and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and controls.
