Job summary

Our client, a leading passive fire protection specialist, is recruiting a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects from award to handover across London and the South East.

You will drive safety, programme delivery and budgets, lead site managers and teams, maintain strong client relationships, chair progress meetings and report regularly.

The role offers long-term career progression, ongoing training and a chance to work on high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Contracts Manager in passive fire protection, construction or specialist contracting.
• Strong knowledge of fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
• SMSTS and CSCS are preferred.
• FIRAS, BM TRADA or other passive fire accreditation knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery from pre-start through to completion and final handover.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Lead and support Site Managers, Supervisors and installation teams.
• Develop and maintain project programmes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Monitor project costs and work closely with the commercial team.
• Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, British Standards and third-party accreditation requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and supply chain performance.
• Identify project risks and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all documentation, quality assurance records and certification are completed accurately.
• Drive high standards of health, safety and quality across all sites.
