Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking a Contracts Manager to join the Construction Team in overseeing multiple sites, reporting to the Construction Director, and ensuring build programmes, budgets, timelines and quality standards.

The role involves managing logistics, resourcing, subcontractors, and cross-department collaboration to meet targets while delivering health, safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in housebuilding construction projects.
• Knowledge of NHBC/LABC/Premier standards.
• Understand Health, Safety and Environmental laws.
• Current CSCS Card held.
• SMSTS preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.
• NVQ Level 7 in Construction Site Supervision desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a number of construction projects, on time and to spec.
• Cost control logistics and resources across developments.
• Conduct routine site inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead HR processes: resourcing, performance, coaching, training.
• Appoint and retain subcontractors, source and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure subcontractors meet Group guidelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to meet targets.
• Deliver Health, Safety and Environment policy compliance.
