Daniel Owen Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager for a growing refurbishment contractor based in the Birmingham area. You will oversee multiple industrial and commercial refurbishment projects from inception to handover, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and robust commercial performance.

The role demands strong leadership, client management, and a hands-on approach to delivery, with responsibilities spanning pre-construction through to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial or industrial refurbishment projects.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to maximise profitability.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple refurbishment projects from mobilisation to completion.
• Lead contracts and coordinate with clients, surveyors, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-start, progress and client meetings; manage labour, materials and plant.
• Monitor costs, variations and valuations to protect profitability.
• Ensure works meet specifications, quality standards and H&S requirements.
• Support site team and provide guidance to Site Managers and Supervisors.
