Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is supporting the recruitment of a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple façade, cladding and external envelope projects across the UK. The role combines hands-on site leadership with strategic programme delivery and strong client liaison.

The successful candidate will drive delivery from pre-construction through handover, manage design and procurement interfaces, and mentor site teams while upholding HSE, quality and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for delivery of multiple façade/cladding projects.
• Provide hands‑on leadership on site with Site Managers and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage programmes, sequencing and delivery plans.
• Chair progress meetings with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Monitor progress and implement recovery strategies if needed.
• Maintain standards across health & safety, quality and workmanship.

The successful Contracts Manager will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of multiple projects across the UK. This is a genuinely hands‑on Contracts Manager position, combining senior project oversight with a strong presence on site and direct involvement in driving teams, programme and delivery. Backed by a publicly listed parent group with turnover exceeding £600 million and strong financial reserves, the business combines the stability of an established group with the pace and flexibility of a specialist contractor. Contracts Manager - Job Overview

• Take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple façade, cladding and external envelope projects
• Provide strong day-to-day leadership across site teams, driving programme, productivity and construction methodology
• Maintain a visible and hands‑on presence on site, working directly with Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and operatives
• Lead projects from pre‑construction through to completion and handover
• Develop and manage programmes, sequencing, logistics and project delivery plans
• Coordinate design, procurement, commercial and site teams to keep projects progressing
• Chair progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
• Monitor progress against programme and contractual milestones, implementing recovery strategies where required
• Take ownership of site‑based issues, resolving problems quickly and practically

• Support commercial teams with cost control, variations, procurement and project performance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain

Contracts Manager - Requirements

• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Strong experience delivering projects within façade, cladding, roofing or the wider external envelope sector
• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or equivalent
• Proven experience managing projects from pre‑construction through to completion
• Strong site management and construction delivery background
• Confident leading Site Managers, subcontractors and wider project teams
• Strong understanding of programmes, sequencing, logistics, quality and health & safety
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of contract performance and project costs
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• A hands‑on, proactive approach with the ability to get out on site and drive issues through to resolution
• Experience within a specialist contractor or principal contractor environment preferred
