Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for a Commercial Manager based in Fareham. The role carries senior commercial responsibility across façade and external envelope projects, with leading procurement, cost control and financial reporting.

You will build strong client and contractor relationships and drive commercial performance within a growing team. The position offers a salary of £80,000–£100,000 DOE, a Fareham-based office with flexible working, and a suite of bonuses, development

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience within façade, cladding, roofing or the wider external envelope sector.
• Experience operating at Senior Commercial Manager or equivalent level is preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Take senior commercial responsibility across a portfolio of façade, cladding and external envelope projects.
• Lead commercial strategy, cost control, forecasting, CVRs and financial reporting.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
• Support senior management with commercial performance and strategic decision making.
• Contribute to the continued development and improvement of commercial processes.
• Mentor and support more junior members of the commercial team.

Commercial Manager - Requirements

• Strong commercial experience within façade, cladding, roofing or the wider external envelope sector


• Previous experience operating at Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, Head of Commercial or equivalent level


• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, cost management and commercial risk


• Experience managing multiple live projects and significant commercial responsibility


• Excellent communication and client-facing skills


• Commercially driven with a proactive approach to improving processes and performance


• Experience within a specialist contractor or principal contractor environment preferred


• Candidates from smaller specialist contractors with strong senior‑level responsibility are encouraged to apply
