Job summary

Nexus Careers Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee commercial, contractual and operational aspects of projects in the UK. Based in the North West, you will manage contracts from tender through final account, liaising with clients, project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliant performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, risk awareness and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager or similar role.
• Experience managing contracts end-to-end.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Knowledge of construction or commercial contracts.
• Qualification in construction or related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts from tender to final account.
• Review contract terms and communicate obligations.
• Monitor performance against scope, programme, budget.
• Manage variations, changes, and claims.
• Negotiate terms and settlements as required.
• Maintain contract records and correspondence.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare monthly contract reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Assist tendering and business development activities.
