Job summary

Purely Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager (Commercial) to join our client on a full-time basis. The role involves reviewing and submitting tenders, pricing sub-contractors, and ensuring accurate estimating records.

You will manage RFIs, liaise with clients, and hand over successful bids to the M&E team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be time-served as an electrician with proven commercial/industrial estimating experience, reading

Qualifications

• Proven commercial/industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Proficient with tender submission processes and deadlines.
• Full driving licence; DBS/CSCS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and submit electrical tenders with deadlines.
• Raise RFIs during tender stage and liaise with clients/design teams.
• Price procurement of sub-contractors and long-lead items.
• Create itemised Bills of Quantities and measure works as needed.
• Finalize tender bids and hand over to M&E Contracts Manager.

Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager 'Commercial'

Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager 'Commercial' to join our client.

Duties will include:

• Review, preparation and submission of Electrical tenders, ensuring that all return date deadlines are met.
• Preparation and submission of Requests for Information (RFIs) during the tender stage, maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants and design teams to clarify project requirements.
• Pricing Procurement, sub-contractors, specialist sub-contractors & establish long lead time items etc
• Ability to measure elements of works and create itemised Bills of Quantities as necessary
• Finalisation of all tender bids, attend pre-order meetings, secure contracts and hand over package to M&E Contracts Managers.
• Liaison with clients with regards to Electrical project variations and ensuring that all variations are recorded and instructed where deemed necessary.
• Creating and maintaining accurate estimating records using the company's estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite of software tools.

The Person:

• To be considered for this role, you must be fully qualified and have proven, previous experience as an Electrical Estimator ideally with a similar sized or larger organisation.
• Proficient commercial / industrial electrical estimating experience
• Ability to read mechanical & electrical drawings and project specifications
• A full driving licence
• CSCS an advantage
• DBS an advantage (Can be applied for)
• Ideally you will be a Time Served Electrician, progressed as an Estimator having worked in a Commercial, Industrial environment. Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision, work well under pressure.
