ionic Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects in the North West. You will oversee multiple projects, lead Site Managers, and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

The role emphasises technical knowledge of civils and water facilities, strong stakeholder management, and a proactive safety culture across teams. Excellent career opportunity with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple civil engineering, utilities, water or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, including managing Site Managers.
• Good commercial and contractual awareness.
• Experience managing programme, cost, risk and resources across multiple projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of civils, wastewater, drainage, process treatment facilities or environmental infrastructure.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach with a strong commitment to health & safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing end-to-end delivery of multiple minor works projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Providing leadership, direction and support to Site Managers and delivery teams.
• Coordinating with commercial teams, subcontractors, and key client stakeholders.
• Monitoring programmes, budgets, risks and overall commercial performance.
• Carrying out regular site visits, reviews and audits and implementing practical solutions.
