About the Opportunity

Technology, Consulting and Innovation (TC&I) is a fast-paced, successful, and growing operational business committed to partnering with clients to achieve carbon net zero. We support diverse projects in Defence, Laboratory Services, Robotics, Engineering, Fusion, and Material Science.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a small, valued commercial team within Jacobs.

You will provide effective and compliant contracting support to the TC&I business, ensuring work is tendered and undertaken on a sound commercial basis in accordance with policy.

The role is based in the UK (Hybrid), with flexible office location options, preferably within commuting distance to Birchwood. Some travel to Jacobs or client sites is expected.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Pre-contract commercial activities, including preparing contract review documentation, reviewing contracts (ROMs, offers, NDAs, pre-teaming agreements), and negotiating with clients.
  2. Post-contract management, including developing Commercial Plans, managing sub-contracts, supporting change and variations, and participating in dispute resolution.
  3. Reviewing and supporting agreements such as JVs, consortiums, NDAs, bonds, and guarantees.
  4. Ensuring Commercial Governance and providing guidance to the business.
  5. Attending Operational Reviews to assess commercial support needs.
  6. Participating in Green Reviews to identify risks before submitting offers.
  7. Collaborating with the Legal team as a business partner.
  8. Managing stakeholder relationships effectively.

This is primarily a Risk/Legal/Pricing role, not sales, though some sales activities may occur.
