Job Description
As a Contracts Manager, you will ensure the effective management and delivery of multiple contracts, meeting programme requirements while aligning with both Company and regional objectives, and achieving client and customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing contracts to achieve safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Overseeing design, quality management, resource planning, defects, and out-of-hours work, ensuring proper procedures and documentation.
- Managing contractual obligations and rights.
- Promoting high standards of HSQ&E, attending safety meetings, developing safety plans, and conducting audits.
- Ensuring accurate HSQ&E reporting and compliance.
- Staffing contracts effectively, maintaining high morale, and ensuring good communication.
- Supporting business development activities, including client relationship management and bid support.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication.
- Delivering client strategies and ensuring KPIs and success factors are met.
- Leading team performance reviews, coaching, and managing employment matters.
- Producing robust contract and delivery programs, including design and procurement.
- Providing progress reports and managing financial controls with teams.
- Contributing to company policies and marketing efforts.
- Minimizing defects during and after construction, ensuring prompt defect resolution.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Level 6 qualification (NVQ), professional membership (MCIOB/MICE), or a construction-related degree.
- Appropriate CSCS card.
- SMSTS certification (desirable).
- Experience managing multiple contracts across different locations.
- Knowledge of Quality Management systems.
- Effective resource planning skills.
- Ability to lead large teams ensuring safety, service, and financial standards.
- Knowledge of document management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project.
- Valid driving license.
