Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment Ltd seeks a Contracts Manager to lead window and door installation projects in the social housing sector. You will oversee multiple projects, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery across site and office activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fenestration or construction, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while travelling to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Managing window and door installation projects from mobilisation through to completion.
• Overseeing contracts within the social housing and planned maintenance sector.
• Regularly visiting sites to monitor progress, quality, health & safety and overall project performance.
• Carrying out site inspections and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
• Monitoring installation standards and ensuring works comply with specifications and contractual requirements.
• Liaising with tenants, residents and client representatives where required.
• Managing variations, additional works, defects and remedial requirements.
• Monitoring project costs, valuations and commercial performance.
• Reviewing project documentation, reports and installation records.
• Ensuring survey information, specifications and installation requirements are communicated effectively to the relevant teams.
• Working closely with the surveying and installation departments to resolve technical or operational issues.
• Monitoring subcontractor and installer performance and addressing any issues as they arise.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with agreed programmes and key performance indicators.
• Producing regular project updates and reports for senior management and clients.
• Supporting the preparation of tenders, programmes and project documentation where required.
• Ensuring all relevant health & safety, RAMS and compliance procedures are followed.

Contracts Manager - Windows & Doors / Social Housing

This is an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Manager with experience in windows, doors, glazing, fenestration or construction, ideally within the social housing sector. The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.

The role offers a varied combination of office-based project management and regular site visits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys managing projects, working closely with clients and contractors, and maintaining a strong presence on site. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects, managing relationships with clients and stakeholders, supporting installation teams and ensuring contractual requirements are consistently met.

Ideal Candidate Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Contracts Coordinator.
• Experience within the window, door, glazing or fenestration industry is highly desirable.
• Experience working within social housing, housing associations, local authorities or planned maintenance would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of window and door installation processes and project delivery.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Comfortable working across both office and site environments.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, survey information and project documentation.
• Good understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
