CONTRACTS MANAGER - OAK FIRE PROTECTION

Location: LEICESTERSHIRE / SOLIHULL

What you will be doing:

Join Galliford Try as a Contracts Manager within our Oak Fire Protection Business. Ideally based in or around Leicestershire or Solihull, with travel across various sites/projects in the region.

This role involves managing passive fire protection contracts from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards, and meeting client expectations. Experience in fire-stopping, fire-resistant materials, and compartmentation projects across sectors is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and coordinating fire protection projects from award to completion.
  2. Ensuring compliance with standards such as BS 476/BS EN 1366, ASFP guidance, and building regulations.
  3. Supervising site teams and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
  4. Managing documentation like RAMS, QA, site diaries, and handover packs.
  5. Communicating with clients, site personnel, and surveyors for smooth project delivery.
  6. Tracking project progress, controlling costs, and managing variations.
  7. Supporting commercial and estimating teams with pricing and tenders.

About You:

  • Proven experience in managing passive fire protection contracts.
  • Knowledge of fire-stopping systems, fire doors, and compartmentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Updated knowledge of PFP legislation and best practices.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) are desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
