Job summary

Galliford Try in Leicester is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee projects across Telecoms, EV infrastructure, civil engineering and building works. You will review, negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance and robust stakeholder engagement.

The role requires proven contract management experience, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in contract management within telecoms, EV infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
  • Degree or equivalent in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cabling, ducting, and data network installations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts across different sectors.
  • Competence in contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.
  • SMSTS or equivalent safety certification.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all contractual aspects of projects including reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, legal standards, and company policies
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and resolve contractual issues
  • Provide contractual advice and support to project managers and delivery teams
  • Monitor contract performance, variations, and claims, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting
  • Report directly to senior leadership on contractual risks, opportunities, and financial performance
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders, bids, and framework agreements
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are embedded within contractual obligations and delivery plans
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to contracts and project delivery
  • Support continuous improvement in contract management processes
  • Manage the provision of confidential and sensitive information

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced contracts manager to oversee projects within Telecoms, EV Infrastructure, Civil Engineering and Building works. The role involves managing contractual obligations, ensuring compliance, and supporting project delivery across multiple frameworks.
