Job summary

Galliford Try — Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Site Supervisor to support production functions on multi‑million security projects in the UK. You will report to the Project Manager and Site Manager to safeguard quality, safety, and profitability across a regional team.

Key duties include leading on-site safety, supervising daily construction activities, maintaining records, coordinating subcontractors and supply chain partners, and driving planning with project teams to meet programme

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC level).
  • Experience leading or supporting teams in a construction environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and deliver work to quality standards.
  • Knowledge of site documentation and business management systems.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing on site.

Title:Site Supervisor

Location:UK

As a Site Supervisor within Galliford Try – Digital Infrastructure, you will be responsible for supporting the production functions on security projects value between £1m-8m.

You will work within a regional team, reporting to the Project Manager and Site Manager to maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability.

Within our Digital Infrastructure team, we work on critical national infrastructure projects, including wireless networks, private 5G, defence, and renewable energy programmes. Our focus is on delivering safe, secure, and innovative solutions that support a sustainable future.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Help create and maintain a safe, inclusive working environment for everyone on site
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification

About You:

  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing on site
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives
  • Experience leading or supporting teams in a construction environment
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and deliver work in line with quality standards
  • Good organisational and IT skills (e.g. Microsoft 365 or similar systems)
  • Knowledge of site documentation and business management systems

Desirable Experience

  • SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience working on MOD or secure infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and site documentation processes
  • Experience in civil engineering activities such as drainage, ducting, excavation, or reinforced concrete works

Additional Information

  • Ability to obtain (or currently hold) Security Clearance (SC level) is required
  • Travel and occasional stays away from home may be necessary (fully supported and reimbursed)
