Job summary

One Construction Group Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee highways and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire and the North East. You will work with the Operations Manager and Project Managers to provide autonomous management and engineering support on schemes, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, quality and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, client management, and a background in highways/civils, with HNC/HND in Civil Engineering and relevant

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
• CSCS Manager Card.
• SMSTS.
• Previous Contracts Management experience within highways/civils.
• Strong leadership and client management skills.
• Good understanding of engineering principles, quality and H&S.
• Confidence using MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Managing the safe delivery of assigned works.
• Leading and developing site and project teams.
• Client and stakeholder management.
• Reviewing RAMS, CPPs and project documentation.
• Site visits, pre-tender assessments and reporting.
• Temporary works coordination and management.

The Role

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers, you'll provide autonomous management and engineering support across assigned schemes.

You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are deliveredsafely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards, whilst developing strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and delivery teams.

You will be involved in:

• Managing the safe delivery of assigned works
• Leading and developing site and project teams
• Client and stakeholder management
• Reviewing RAMS, CPPs and project documentation
• Site visits, pre-tender assessments and reporting
• Temporary works coordination and management
• Quality management, including ITPs
• Supporting project teams with drawings, specifications and engineering requirements

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with experiencedContracts Managersfrom ahighways, civil engineering, drainage or National Highwaysbackground.

You'll ideally have:

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering
• CSCS Manager Card
• SMSTS
• Previous Contracts Management experience within highways/civils
• Strong leadership and client management skills
