Job summary

Solution Search Limited - Construction, a well-established family-run building contractor, is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to drive projects and the business to the next growth stage. You will oversee multiple contracts from pre-construction through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading teams, liaising with clients, architects and suppliers, preparing programmes, monitoring costs and procurement, and ensuring H&S

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction sector.
• Track record of delivering projects up to £2m in value.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, H&S, and contract law.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Hands-on approach with problem-solving mindset.

Well-established, family-run building contractor with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and excellent client service require a seanior contracts manager to help drive projects and the business to the next stage of growth.

Projects range from bespoke residential refurbishments to commercial fit-outs and small new-build developments within both the public and private sector.

Project values range from £50k to £2m

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. You ll work closely with clients, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple contracts simultaneously
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and suppliers
• Prepare and manage programmes of work
• Monitor project costs, progress, and quality
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor performance
• Ensure all H&S and legal requirements are met
• Provide support and leadership to site teams and junior staff

Suitable candidates will have:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction sector
• Track record of managing projects up to £2m in value
• Strong understanding of building regulations, H&S, and contract law
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
• Hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset
• CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certification desirable
