Job summary

Denham Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead property reinstatement projects in the South East London area, handling domestic and commercial repairs within a defined region.

Hybrid role with a mix of home and office work. Salary £50,000–£60,000 plus a company car or car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package; insurance/ refurbishment focus. You will need to manage contractors and ensure CDM/H&S compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract managing property repairs, refurbishments or renovation projects.
• Knowledge of insurance claims or fire/flood/water damage to properties advantageous.
• Good knowledge of CDM, Asbestos, H&S, Party Wall Act.
• Trades/contractor management experience and strong IT skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small portfolio of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial).
• Manage repairs projects to completion with cost control.
• Ensure Health & Safety / CDM compliance and carry out site audits.
• Manage existing contractors and identify new ones for the network.
• Audit ongoing works and contractor performance.

Contracts Manager

Hybrid Permanent PAYE

South East London Kent Surrey

£50,000 - £60,000 plus car or car allowance and benefits package

The successful Contracts Manager will be based on or around South East London and happy to work a mix of home & office-based.

Working as part of a strong team with office support you will be dealing with large loss domestic property repairs (insurance reinstatement works) within a designated area across/acround London. Ideally, this would suit a Contracts Manager with insurance industry experience OR someone who is keen to expand their current skills and experience (private or social housing residential repairs, refurbishments, renovations) into specialising within the insurance industry.

Genuine opportunities for development are on offer for this Contracts Manager to progress into a more senior roles in the business.

You will need to be confident with IT, used to manage large project and managing teams of trades.

Contracts Manager responsibilities

• Oversee a small portfolio of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial)
• Manage repairs projects to completion (inc. cost management)
• Ensure Health & Safety / CDM compliance & carry out site audits
• Manage existing contractors in your area and be open to identify new contractors for addition to the network as required
• Audit on-going works and the contractors in your area

Contracts Manager experience required

• Experience in contract managing property repairs, refurbishments or renovation projects

• Knowledge of insurance claims or fire/flood/water/structural/subsidence damage to properties would be highly advantageous (not essential)

• Good knowledge of; CDM, Asbestos, H&S, Party Wall Act
• Trades/contractor management experience
• Excellent customer service, communication, organisational & IT skills
• Full UK driving licence
