Job summary

CR1 Group Limited is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead multiple national fit-out projects across retail and office sectors, delivering to the client on time, on budget, and to high standards. You will own the account, build a strong client relationship and drive growth of the framework across the UK.

The role offers a £70k-£80k+ package with significant autonomy and a clear pathway toward senior account management within a multi award-winning Tier 1 contractor.

Qualifications

Multi Award-Winning Tier 1 Main Contractor

Role - Contracts Manager - £70k- £80k + Package

Locations - National Retail and Office Fit-Out Framework

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join a multi award-winning Tier 1 Main Contractor and take a leading role on a newly awarded national framework with one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies.

The framework currently has an annual value of approximately £3 million and consists of small high street store and office fit-out projects delivered across the UK.

This is more than a traditional Contracts Manager position. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take full ownership of the account, build a strong relationship with the client and help grow the framework over the coming years. For the right individual, there is a clear pathway into a future Account Management role.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple retail and office fit-out projects across the country.

You will work closely with the client and project teams making sure all projects are being delivered efficiently, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of multiple fit-out projects nationally
• Developing and maintaining a strong, long-term relationship with the client
• Acting as the principal operational point of contact for the framework
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
• Managing project programmes, resources, labour and supply chain performance
• Providing regular operational and financial reports to senior management

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Contracts Manager who has previously worked for a Tier 1 or leading national main contractor.

You should have a proven track record of managing multiple projects or a programme of works, ideally within the retail, commercial, workplace or fit-out sectors. Experience working on national rollout programmes, frameworks or key client accounts would be particularly beneficial.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within a Tier 1 or leading main contractor
• Experience delivering retail, commercial, office or workplace fit-out projects
• Experience managing multiple live projects across different locations
• Previous involvement in national rollout programmes or framework accounts
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management capabilities
• Good commercial awareness and contractual understanding
• The ability to manage programmes, budgets, resources and supply chain partners
• A proactive, solutions-focused and accountable approach
• The ambition to grow and develop a significant client account
• The flexibility and willingness to travel nationally as required

Qualifications

Candidates should hold the relevant industry qualifications, which may include:

• SMSTS
• Management-level CSCS card
• First Aid at Work
• Full UK driving licence
• Additional relevant health, safety or project management qualifications would be advantageous
