Job summary

Parexel in the UK is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee contract lifecycle across accounts, coordinating with Operations, Project Management, Legal, Finance and Business Development. You will prepare, review and negotiate budgets and Start-up/Change Orders, and act as the primary client contact during negotiations and throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in contract management, proposal development or related field.
• Knowledge of clinical trials and/or industry experience is required.
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP in the provision of clinical trials is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Highly organized with strong oral and written communication.
• Good numeracy and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and databases.

AccountabilitiesOverall management responsibility for the contract process for specific or varied accounts including coordination of Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development and Finance to prepare, review, and negotiate contractsServe as primary client contact during the negotiation phaseOn-going interface with clients regarding contractual issues during the lifetime of a projectEstablish and maintain direct client contactCreate, negotiate and finalize budgets and contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change OrdersDevelopment of account specific standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, standard contract language, etc., and discussion/negotiation with client as appropriateOn-going proactive involvement with project management in review of project status, including review of contractual status to ensure compliance with contractual terms and milestones and identification of changes in scope in contractsClose
