The vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our team at Connexus. This is a key position within the asset management team and will be responsible for the delivery of an annual single investment plan across the Connexus property portfolio, with an emphasis on maintaining decent homes.

The postholder will work closely with the Investment Manager to deliver the programme, in particular:

• Ensuring that programmed decent homes works are completed as scheduled, on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
• Undertaking the role of Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring all key stakeholders are aware of and contribute to maintaining compliance with health and safety legislation, best practices, safety standards, and legal requirements.
• Maintaining and using the group’s asset management database to manage contracts, ensure data is current, and the group’s asbestos register is maintained and up to date.

To be successful in this role, the postholder will need to have:

• A qualification in building maintenance or construction (degree, OND, HND, or equivalent).
• Professional qualification (or working towards) such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
• Detailed knowledge of building regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Experience of managing a team.

This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working, combining home working and working from our offices, with the head office located at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
