Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager who will work alongside the Senior Commercial Manager and Head of Contracts. The role involves assisting the Senior Commercial Manager with contract execution duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Senior Contracts Manager and Head of Contracts with contractual administration tasks.
  2. Prepare NDAs and maintain a register.
  3. Assist with administration of compliance with all terms and conditions and supporting schedules of customer contracts.
  4. Prepare and negotiate contract change proposals.
  5. Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports, and other documents for the project.
  6. Process purchase orders for the company.
  7. Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  8. Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists.
  9. Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
  10. Assist supply chain in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased.
  11. Administer contract performance, including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages, and insurance.
  12. Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies.
  13. Develop and maintain good working relationships with the customer commercial/contracts team.
  14. Develop and maintain good working relationships with Team Leidos members.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with strong experience as a contracts or commercial officer.
  • Experience on large programmes/contracts employing complex business models and terms and conditions.
  • Experience in contract administration and negotiations.
  • Must be a hands-on team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem resolution skills with a collaborative, win-win approach.
  • Proactive in contract performance, risk, issues, and opportunities identification.
  • Understanding of programme technical performance metrics and financial status.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MOD contracting.
  • Effective communication skills internally and externally.

Skills Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts with the UK Government or Ministry of Defence.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Pre-Screening: BPSS
  • SC clearance required for the role.
