Job summary

Hyndburn Borough Council is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic lawyer to provide advice across a broad range of council functions, focusing mainly on contracts, procurement and information law. You will manage a varied caseload and work with officers and councillors alike.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with eligibility to practise law.
• Experience or familiarity with contracts, procurement and information law preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with officers and councillors.

• Provide advice across a broad range of Council functions, focusing mainly on contracts, procurement and information law.
• Manage a varied and busy caseload in a timely manner.
• Work with officers and councillors to progress legal matters and ensure compliance.
