As a trusted expert, Balvac extends the life of our nation's infrastructure by delivering innovative structural repair, strengthening, protection, and maintenance solutions to restore our customer assets to full capacity.

What you'll be doing

As a Contracts Engineer, you will:

  • Manage internal resources and subcontractors
  • Ensure that works are constructed in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and the Project Management Plan
  • Manage site dimensional control, ensuring contractors have the facilities for setting out the works
  • Produce and review construction methods statements to ensure efficient and safe construction
  • Produce all site documentation for the delivery of the works, including PMP, PVPMP, ITP, Construction Phase Management Plan, etc.
  • Develop and work to programmes, measuring progress and productivity outputs
  • Understand and apply procedures from the project Health, Safety, and Environmental plans, promoting a safe working culture

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent (preferable)
  • Experience in delivery of structural repair or specialist repair projects
  • Good QC/QA experience
  • Previous experience working on infrastructure schemes involving concrete structures
  • Ability to organize works and manage multiple teams efficiently
