We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills while undertaking diverse and quality work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers, providing proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management, deputising for the Principal Solicitor, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services.
We are seeking an effective, dynamic individual with some experience in managing and supervising people, motivating others, and working collaboratively.

The role is hybrid; remote work will be considered. Occasional office attendance may be required. The candidate will need to collect their laptop from our Reigate office on the first day.
This role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
The role contributes to the wider management of Legal Services and models the council's values and behaviors.
You will manage a demanding caseload, deliver innovative solutions, and support the council's goal to reduce reliance on external legal support. Advocacy duties may be required.
You will also support the Monitoring Officer and contribute to staff training to keep the team updated on legal issues.
