Job summary

Plentific is seeking a Contractor Development Manager to lead contractor recruitment, onboarding and verification for its social housing and local authority clients. You will build channels to reach new contractors, manage the pipeline in CRM, and ensure contractors are ready for their first job.

You’ll focus on proactive outreach, data-driven targeting and strong communication to align contractors with client needs, pricing, and SLAs, while continually improving our contractor verification

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or acquisition and a history of winning new customers, partners or suppliers.
• Ability to own a pipeline from first contact to live contractor and report progress at each stage.
• Excellent communication and the skill to explain platform pricing and SLAs clearly.
• Proactive, resilient and able to follow up consistently with new contacts.
• Comfort with a CRM and Google Workspace; quick to learn new systems.
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Grow our contractor network by identifying and onboarding suitable tradespeople to Plentific marketplaces.
• Verify contractors by reviewing certificates and documents, ensuring completeness before live status.
• Own the contractor pipeline end to end, tracking progress and following up with stalled sign-ups.
• Target supply where needed by using data to identify regions and trades with gaps.
