Job summary

Deloitte UK is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst (contract) to join the IT Business Services team within Enterprise Business Solutions. You will bridge business and technology, shaping data-driven decisions and emerging technology adoption across projects.

You will lead analysis across complex programmes, translate requirements into actionable user stories, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions in a hybrid UK office setting.

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (contract)

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Manager level SeniorTechnical Business Analyst (BA) to join IT Business Services team in Enterprise Business Solutions at Deloitte. You will play a key role in bridging business and technology. This role combines strategic business analysis, technical analysis, data-driven decision-making and emerging technology innovation to help shape the future of our business and technology landscape. You have the opportunity to help shape how emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent automation and enterprise knowledge solutions, can create value across our organisation.

Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis Leadership

• Lead business analysis activities across complex programmes, products and strategic initiatives.
• Act as the voice of the business and advocate for user needs throughout the change lifecycle.

2. Technical & Solution Analysis

• Analyse business processes, enterprise systems, platforms, integrations and technology ecosystems.
• Elicit, analyse, validate and document business, functional, technical and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process models and solution requirements.

3. Data & Information Analysis

• Identify, analyse and understand data sources across complex business and technology environments.

4. AI, Agentic AI & Emerging Technologies

• Identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence, automation and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes and user experiences

Essential Skills and Experience

• An experienced Senior Technical BA with technical and data analysis capabilities, can operate confidently across both business and technology domains.
• Previous experience leading analysis activities acrosscomplex programmes, products and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that business needs are translated into practical, scalable and value-driven solutions.
• Previous experience with business processes, platforms, systems, integrations, data and emerging technologies to help stakeholders understand challenges, shape opportunities and deliver meaningful outcomes
• Strong stakeholder management: Able to lead and drive the discussions with business stakeholders (at all levels), influence decision‑making, support solution design and contribute to the continuous improvement
• Experience leading discovery activities, requirements elicitation and business analysis workstreams.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear business outcomes and solution requirements.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• SQL or equivalent data interrogation and analysis techniques.
• APIs, integrations and enterprise system interfaces.
• Data analysis, data mapping and source-to-target transformation concepts.
• Cloud-based and SaaS technology environments.
• Power BI, Tableau or equivalent analytics platforms.
• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Dataverse.
• Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio.
• Experience supporting AI, Generative AI or Agentic AI initiatives.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and enterprise search capabilities.
