This is a hands-on role in a regulated environment, with a focus on translating complex requirements into practical solutions and partnering with AI, data, product and engineering teams. You will bridge business needs and technical delivery across the full lifecycle, ensuring regulatory, governance and risk considerations are met.

Technical Business Analyst

Location: Surrey or London (Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a leading financial services client working on an innovative retail investment platform.

This is a hands-on role within a regulated environment, with a strong focus on AI-native delivery and agentic technologies. You will work closely with technical, product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions and support the development of an AI-enabled investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across the design and delivery of an AI-native retail investment platform.
• Translate business and customer requirements into clear technical requirements and user stories.
• Work closely with engineering, product, data and AI teams to shape solutions.
• Support the design and development of agentic AI capabilities and workflows.
• Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and improvement.
• Facilitate workshops and communicate requirements clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support solution design, testing and delivery through the full development lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions align with regulatory, governance and risk requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within financial services.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of technology, software delivery and technical architecture.
• Experience working on AI-native products, AI-enabled delivery or emerging AI technologies.
• Understanding of AI agents, agentic workflows or Generative AI is highly desirable.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
• Experience working closely with engineering and product teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment where requirements and technology are developing rapidly.
• Experience within retail investments, wealth management or investment platforms would be advantageous.
