Job summary

Venn Group is supporting a major aerospace documentation programme in Farnborough and seeks experienced Aerospace Technical Authors for a long-term contract. The first month will be hybrid on-site, then the role shifts to 90% remote work from Farnborough, offering a flexible arrangement for ongoing project work.

The position requires ATA100 and S1000D expertise, strong FrameMaker skills, and the ability to create, maintain and convert manuals across AMM, CMM, AFM, AIPC and related documents for

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aerospace Technical Author.
• Strong working knowledge of ATA100 and S1000D.
• Experience producing or converting aircraft technical manuals AMM's & CMM.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker.
• Ability to work within large aerospace documentation programmes.

Technical Author
Farnborough (First month hybrid, then 90% remote)
Rate: £35 per hour
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Start Date: Approx. 2 weeks
Duration: 12 months initially (strong likelihood of 36 months)
Clearance: Not needed but a bonus

Summary

Our client is currently supporting a major aerospace documentation programme and are looking for experienced Aerospace Technical Authors to join a long-term project based in Farnborough.

This role will suit seasoned aerospace documentation specialists with strong experience working to ATA100 and S1000D standards, along with Adobe FrameMaker. The initial contract is expected to run for at least 12 months, with the potential for longer-term extensions as the programme develops.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and conversion of aircraft technical documentation, supporting a long-term project based in Farnborough. Work will include both ATA100 manuals and S1000D conversion projects across a wide range of aircraft documentation.
