We’re currently recruiting a Contract Surveyor to join our national team managing mechanical and electrical assets across the organisation specifically in the property services electrical team and focused on assets of street lighting. You’ll take day‑to‑day responsibility for the specific asset streams relating to electrics ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with legal and contractual requirements. You’ll act as the key link between internal teams and electrical contractors, ensuring reactive repairs are completed, compliance standards are met, and service levels remain high. The role involves managing contracts, monitoring performance, and working with the Operations Manager to find solutions, liaise with specialists, and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating or managing M&E or heating contractors, with proven contract management skills.
You will hold membership of CIOB, CIBSE, or CIPS, and/or a Level 3 or higher technical or built environment qualification, such as water hygiene (P901), Electrical (L2,L3, AM2) or Asbestos (P405). Desirable experience includes service delivery in social housing, understanding operational compliance for M&E or heating assets, and an HND or HNC in a relevant discipline.
