Job summary

Clarion Housing Group is recruiting two Contract Surveyors to manage mechanical and electrical assets across the organisation, including water hygiene or electrics streams. You will coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure services are delivered safely in line with contractual requirements.

You will act as the key liaison between internal teams and contractors, overseeing contracts, monitoring performance and driving improvements in collaboration with the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing M&E or heating contractors.
• Membership of CIOB, CIBSE, or CIPS and/or technical/building environment qualifications.
• Desirable: social housing exposure; understanding M&E/ heating asset compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery for asset streams (M&E or heating).
• Act as a link between internal teams and contractors; ensure reactive repairs meet standards.
• Oversee contracts, monitor performance and drive Continuous Improvement with Operations Manager.

Location: Maidstone / Norwich / London

Salary: £48,601.00 - £57,190.00 (Maidstone) / £46,100.00 - £54,181.00 (Norwich) / £51,573.00 - £60,196.00 (London) per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week – flexible options considered

Contract Type: 12-month fixed term contract / secondment (2 positions)

We’re currently recruiting 2 Contract Surveyor's to join our national team managing mechanical and electrical assets across the organisation. You’ll take day-to-day responsibility for specific asset streams relating to water hygiene or electrics ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with legal and contractual requirements.

You’ll act as the key link between internal teams and contractors, ensuring reactive repairs are completed, compliance standards are met, and service levels remain high. The role involves managing contracts, monitoring performance, and working with the Operations Manager to find solutions, liaise with specialists, and drive continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have experience coordinating or managing M&E or heating contractors, with proven contract management skills. You will hold membership of CIOB, CIBSE, or CIPS, and/or a Level 3 or higher technical or built environment qualification, such as water hygiene (P901), Electrical (L2,L3, AM2) or Asbestos (P405).

Desirable experience includes service delivery in social housing, understanding operational compliance for M&E or heating assets, and an HND or HNC in a relevant discipline.
