Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Fareham, Hampshire, is seeking a Contract Specialist / Commercial Officer to support bid decisions, review RFPs, manage contracts across the full lifecycle, and drive commercial performance on high-value programmes.

The role is on site with exposure to stakeholders across the business. A degree (or equivalent) and strong negotiation, risk assessment, and communication skills are essential. Competitive salary DOE and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
• Experience in contracts, commercial, or programme environments.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support bid / no-bid decisions through commercial and contractual analysis.
• Review and develop responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Manage contracts across the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with commercial and customer requirements.
• Conduct detailed contract risk reviews and implement mitigation strategies.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and contractual agreements.
• Handle complex customer correspondence, including claims and disputes.
• Administer major contracts, tracking performance, delivery schedules, and obligations.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and change control records.
• Support programme planning and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and proactively recommend commercial and contractual improvements.
