Job summary

Thorn Baker Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to cover two weeks across multiple construction sites in the Brierley Hill and Redditch areas of the West Midlands. You will manage day-to-day site activities, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications, plus a full driving licence. Travel between sites within the West Midlands is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage day-to-day site operations on multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour on site.
• Monitor project schedules and resources to meet deadlines.
• Maintain site records including daily reports, diaries and risk assessments.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and materials.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and stakeholders professionally.
• Manage delivery and storage of materials to reduce waste and delays.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and construction regulations.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimise disruption.
