Job summary

Ocho People is recruiting a Contract Senior Java Engineer to join a Belfast-based engineering group. You will design, build and maintain scalable Java applications within large-scale enterprise platforms and real-time data environments.

Qualifications

Strong commercial Java development experience.
Experience building scalable backend or distributed systems.
Exposure to cloud environments and modern engineering practices.
Strong understanding of clean code, testing and maintainability.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
Agile, collaborative engineering environments.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable Java applications.
Develop new features and enhancements across enterprise platforms.
Contribute to architecture, resilience and system design discussions.
Work with cloud-native technologies and containerised environments.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and improve production systems.
Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Research and evaluate new technologies and tooling.
