Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems seeks a Security Engineer (Contractor) to deliver security domain expertise on a CIS/Cyber project. You will ensure security is integral to engineering decisions and contribute to security documentation and artefacts.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with PKI, security frameworks (IS1/IS2, ISO27001, NIST SP 800-53), and MBSE approaches, working within defence contexts to achieve accreditation and continuous security compliance.

Qualifications

• You will have experience in large, complex systems across all phases of the project lifecycle in a security context and will have produced security designs, and successfully have taken these through accreditation, and into support.
• You will have experience with PKI implementation within complex systems and the ability to provide security assessment and guidance.
• Familiarity with defence sector standards and architecture frameworks is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers and design teams to create required security deliverables.
• Provide security authority and guidance to ensure security is part of engineering decisions.
• Provide expertise in PKI and related solution aspects.
• Develop and maintain project level security documentation and artefacts.
• Deliver coherent, integrated, and layered Security Architecture.
