Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Contract Process Engineer to join its Process Technology team in Grangemouth. The role focuses on continuous improvement, process design, troubleshooting, and commissioning of new and modified plants, with safety work within a COMAH Top Tier framework and the use of digital tools to optimise outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field, has experience in process manufacturing, familiarity with HAZOP and Lean/Six Sigma, and

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience on engineering projects in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with process safety principles (e.g., HAZOP).
  • Exposure to digital engineering tools or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
  • Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it is welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support cost transformation and change delivery initiatives.
  • Design and troubleshoot processes; perform root cause analysis.
  • Support commissioning and startup of new/modified plants.
  • Apply digital tools and AI-assisted methods to optimise outcomes.
