Job description

Job Title: Contract Multi-skilled Engineer

Location:

Reading area - good road access

Pay Range:

£38 per hour Limited Company, outside scope, PAYE options considered

Contract Details:

Rotating Shifts, LTD COMPANY ENGAGEMENT

Contract (Seasonal peak) with potential for a minimum 6-month ongoing contract

Company Overview:

Our client is a renowned manufacturing business, enjoying UK dominance and market-leading status in their sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Contract Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work on shift during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform planned and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum line efficiency
  2. Fault-finding and diagnosis
  3. Respond rapidly to breakdowns on plant equipment and machinery
  4. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automation machinery, including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and robots
  5. Meet plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through preventative and predictive maintenance
  6. Maintain the continuous running of high-quality production and packing processes
  7. Improve equipment and system performance to support site development
  8. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans
Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
  2. Experience with production line motors, drives, conveyors, packaging machinery, and process equipment
  3. Proactive fault-finding skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
