Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited in Newcastle is seeking a proactive Contract Manager to own a prestigious static building services maintenance contract in the city centre, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strong client relationships.

You will lead a dedicated on-site team of Engineers, an Engineering Supervisor and a Site Administrator, acting as the primary client contact and driving performance and profitability.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing building services maintenance contracts.
Mechanical and/or electrical building services background.
Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Commercial awareness and understanding of contract P&L performance.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Client-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for the client.
Manage contract performance, profitability, KPIs and SLAs.
Identify and manage contract variations and additional works opportunities.
Support credit control and financial management activities.
Manage CAFM systems and ensure contractual compliance.
Work closely with Sales, Mobilisation and Helpdesk teams to support service delivery.
Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated on-site team.
Monitor team and contractor performance.
Conduct site audits and performance reviews; manage holidays, workload distribution, and resource planning.
Support recruitment activities and liaise with HR on people matters.
Promote a positive team culture and high-performance environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to the on-site engineering team.
Drive continuous improvement across the contract.

We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Contract Manager to take ownership of a prestigious static building services maintenance contract in the city centre, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong client relationships and commercial success.

You’ll lead a dedicated on‑site team of Engineers, an Engineering Supervisor and a Site Administrator, act as the primary contact for clients and play a key role in maintaining high service standards across the contract while driving performance and profitability.

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager and Regional Director, you'll have the autonomy to manage the contract while being supported by an experienced leadership team.
