Job summary

Portakabin Ltd is seeking a Contract Manager to join the GB Healthcare team, with nationwide project delivery from base in the GB region. The role offers an annual salary up to 67,000 with a 10% on-target bonus, plus a company car and private medical cover.

Expect 25 days leave plus bank holidays and option to buy 5 extra days. The role requires strong project management skills, qualification, and experience delivering large modular contracts, with travel and overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering large and complex construction or modular contracts.
• Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies and processes.
• Strong financial control, cost management and final accounts negotiation.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing third-party suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of delivery of allocated large or complex contracts, ensuring safety, on time, within spec and budget.
• Act as SME in project delivery and share knowledge to drive best practice.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams with clear roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Maintain project margins and cash flow through planning, budgeting, risk control and commercial decisions.
• Provide regular progress reports for stakeholders with analysis of progress, costs and milestones.
• Identify and mitigate risks; maintain a risk register and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and resolve disputes where required.
• Build strong customer relationships and be the main contact for allocated contracts.
• Support bid and pre-construction activity with operational input.
• Provide coaching and line management where applicable.
