Contract Manager – High-End Residential Construction

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to £70k

Contract Type: Permanent

Reports To: Managing Director

About the Role

Laboris Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Contract Manager to oversee contractual agreements and compliance for luxury residential construction projects. The role involves ensuring smooth contract execution, minimizing risks, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and payment schedules to prevent financial discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, suppliers, and legal teams to resolve contract-related issues.
  • Evaluate contract performance, ensuring all obligations are met and disputes are efficiently managed.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, change orders, and communications for auditing and legal purposes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing contracts in high-end residential construction or luxury property development.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  • Strong understanding of construction law, procurement, and compliance.
  • Ability to drive favorable terms while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
  • High accuracy in contract drafting and interpretation.
  • Understanding of construction timelines, budgeting, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, contractors, and legal professionals.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certifications such as RICS, CIOB, or NEC are desirable.
