Job summary

Matchtech Group, on behalf of our client in the West Midlands, seeks an experienced Contract Manager to support major heat network and energy services contracts. The role focuses on managing long-term concessions and associated sub-agreements, ensuring obligations are fulfilled and governance is maintained.

You will review performance, manage risks, and provide guidance on contract interpretation while collaborating with public sector and service providers.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management within highways, infrastructure, energy services or a related discipline.
• Understanding of concession agreements, service contracts or Private Finance Initiative arrangements.
• Knowledge of contract performance monitoring, compliance and risk management.
• Ability to interpret complex contractual documentation and identify key obligations.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Contract Manager to support the Route to Zero team on major heat network and energy services contracts in the area. This contract role will provide specialist contract management support across long-term concession agreements and associated sub-agreements, ensuring that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations. Experience in highways, energy services or Private Finance Initiative contracts would be advantageous, while direct heat network experience is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and monitoring obligations under the Broad Street Energy Services concession and associated agreements
• Supporting the effective management of the Eastside Phase 1 concession and related arrangements
• Reviewing contract performance, service delivery and compliance against agreed terms
• Monitoring the fulfilment of obligations by public sector and service provider stakeholders
• Identifying contractual risks, performance issues and opportunities for improvement

Job Requirements:
