Job summary

AMB Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a South London/South East permanent role. Salary £70,000–£90,000 DOE plus car or allowance, bonus and benefits. The position covers a portfolio from pre-contract planning through final account.

You will manage multiple contracts, lead engineers and site teams, negotiate with clients and suppliers, and ensure H&S and quality targets are met, with monthly reporting and strong client liaison.

Qualifications

• Experience running multiple construction contracts independently.
• Background in structures, highways, marine or specialist repair.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT, CDM and SHEQ procedures.
• Strong planning, financial, leadership and communication skills.
• SMSTS and CSCS Black Card.
• Degree or NVQ Level 5 in civil engineering or construction (or equivalent).
• Professional membership (MICE, CEng, MCIOB, ICorr) achieved or working towards.
• Full UK driving licence; based within reach of South London and the South East.

Responsibilities

• Ensure H&S and management system procedures are followed on every contract.
• Support bids, PQQs and client presentations.

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor working in concrete and structural repair. They deliver technically varied projects on buildings, bridges, highways and marine structures across the South East.

They’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of contracts, from pre-contract planning through to final account.

The role
