Job summary

Strip Tinning Automotive seeks an experienced Dimensional Engineer (GD&T) to verify drawings, define datums, and refine tolerance schemes for manufacturability. You will work with design, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues and ensure inspections align with requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong practical GD&T experience on engineering drawings.
• Understanding of datum systems and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience liaising with manufacturing and inspection teams.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and assess the application of GD&T.
• Define and refine datums, tolerance schemes and dimensional requirements.
• Identify tolerance issues that could affect assembly, function or manufacturability.
• Work with design, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional queries.
• Support inspection planning and help ensure drawings can be measured consistently.
• Communicate technical findings and recommended changes clearly to stakeholders.
