Job summary

Huntress is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a 3-month contract in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. The role is office-based, 37 hours per week, reporting to the CFO and line-managing the Finance Team.

The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, support planning and budgeting, and provide clear financial insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification with senior finance experience.
• Proven Financial Controller or equivalent senior finance experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• High accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all financial operations across the Trust.
• Line-manage and develop Finance Team members.
• Report to CFO with accurate, timely financial information.
• Ensure robust financial reporting and compliance with standards and funding.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and funding requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and improve finance processes and internal controls.
• Analyse financial information to provide commercially focused insights.
