Job summary

Megger Limited is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and support statutory/group reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will prepare monthly management accounts and journals, reconcile balance sheets, contribute to year-end reporting under UK GAAP/FRS 102, and assist with external audits and VAT.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities including journals.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with group reporting and annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
• Support external audits, VAT returns and regulatory reporting.
