Job summary

Dutton Recruitment are recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant for a contract position based with our client in Colwich. Immediate start available (subject to interview).

Rate of pay is 14.00 per hour (depending on experience). The Temporary Finance Assistant will provide short-term support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team, helping to maintain the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations during the temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Finance assistant/ accounts experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations is beneficial.
• Strong numerical skills with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• AAT qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals, and other adjustments.
• Monitor cash flow and produce cash flow reports.
• Support audits by providing documentation and clarifications.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and support accounts payable.
